Client Intake Officer / Administration Support Officer

The Wurli Social and Emotional Well Being (SEWB) team aims to achieve better outcomes in early intervention, treatment and management of mental health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through an integrated approach in a primary health care setting.  The SEWB project is designed to deliver intervention service, prevention and promotion of social and emotional healthy lifestyles.

The role of the Client Intake Officer / Administrative Support Officer is responsible for providing a culturally sensitive approach and assistance to our clients in order to improve their social and emotional wellbeing. Key components of the role will include assisting with the provision of intake, assessment and referral services within Wurli and externally as required. In addition to this the role is required to provide the SEWB and other community services programs with a range of supporting administrative functions whilst providing front office (telephone and reception) services and client liaison services as necessary for the achievement of SEWB outcomes for Wurli.

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:-

  • Certificate IV in Community Services / Business Administration
  • Previous experience in a support worker / administration role in the community services / social services sector or Primary Health industry
  • Current National Police Records Check and Working with Children’s Clearance
  • Current Northern Territory Driver’s License
