Corporate Services Manager

Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service (WWHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that prides itself on delivering a range of health services to the community in a style and manner that makes clients feel welcome and comfortable. WWHS operates a range of clinics and provides a range of primary health care and other services which include our Main Clinic (acute and general care), Gudbinji Chronic Disease Clinic, Binjari Health Centre, Women and Children’s Health, Men’s Health, and a Dental Clinic.

We also deliver Community Service programs which aim to achieve better outcomes in early intervention, treatment, and management through an integrated approach in a primary health care setting like our Alcohol and Other Drugs Program, Social and Emotional Wellbeing program, Katherine Individual Support Program, and our Strong Indigenous Families program.
As well as providing Clinical and Community Services WWHS also provides Professional Development and Training, as well as Corporate Services being: Human Resources, Finance, Infrastructure, Work Health and Safety, Compliance, Grants and Communications and Administration Support.

Reporting to the CEO, the Corporate Services Manager role is responsible for leading and managing all activities within the Corporate Services area, for the delivering of timely Human Resources Services, Administrative and Corporate Support Services, Corporate Quality Improvement Services, Accreditation, Corporate Branding, and for making sure the Wurli website content is maintained and up to date at all times.

The Corporate Services Manager role will have to provide leadership in problem solving issues that arise and have experience in managing highly complex and confidential legal matters and Industrial relations at a strategic level.
The role will involve using your initiative to identify, introduce and implement best practice processes as identified by your own research and as identified by the organisation.

The role will strategically manage, plan, monitor, evaluate and report on all performance outputs and maintain effective governance within Wurli. The position will be responsible for ensuring all corporate service functions are carried out in accordance with statutory, financial, and corporate governance frameworks and standards.
In addition to this the Corporate Services Manager will oversee other supporting business functions such as Internal Standardisation to meet International standards such as the ISO 9001, and other accreditations, Continuous Quality Improvement processes, the development and review of all organisational policies and procedures and provide support as required to Wurli’s Management Team and to the CEO.

The role will assume the delegation authority of the CEO, when requested, to carry out specific activities as and when the CEO requires.

The role also requires the Corporate Services Manager to lead and drive a positive culture that is aligned with Wurli’s values.

In addition to the annual salary our enterprise agreement provides for other additional terms and conditions of employment such as :-

  • Based in Katherine, NT.
  • Six weeks annual leave plus leave loading per annum

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification in Business Management, Administration or Human Resources
or other relevant qualification.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three years’ experience in a Senior Management role that included the management of
highly complex and confidential legal matters.

Demonstrated experience leading a corporate administrative function.

Previous experience in managing a large team.

DESIRED

Human Resources/ Compliance/ Accreditation and Industrial Relations experience

Experience in corporate services management, preferably in a community-controlled organisation / or similar environment.

Experience working with Aboriginal people and an understanding of Aboriginal Culture

Experience with information and communications technology, in particular, web site support.

Understanding of Financial Management, Quality Management and Risk Management.
