Growem Up Strongwan Program
Our team works alongside you from pregnancy until your child turns 3 years old, providing culturally safe, family-centred care that supports you to give your baby the best possible start in life.
To access the program, you need to be a registered Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service client.
The GUS team includes Indigenous Case Workers, Registered Nurses and Midwives who work together to support you throughout your journey.
What do we do?
We can help with:
- Pregnancy care and education
- Getting to appointments
- Outreach and home visiting services
- Connecting you with services in Katherine
- Help with ID, bank accounts, Centrelink and MyGov
- Parenting support and child development
- Social and emotional wellbeing support
- Education sessions and yarning together
- A safe, welcoming place to drop in for a cuppa and a chat
Our program is strengths-based, culturally safe and responsive, working alongside families to provide the support that is most important to them.
