Aboriginal Health Worker
(Temporary Position to 20 March 2009)

Position Description

Overview
We are seeking applications from appropriately qualified and registered Aboriginal Health Workers to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing primary health care services to the Indigenous people of Katherine and its surrounds.
Under the supervision of the Clinic Coordinator, you will provide the first point of contact for all clients of the clinic – screen, take their history, and deliver health education.

In accordance with your training and experience, you will diagnose and treat, ensuring that treatment guidelines such as those detailed in the CARPA Manual are adhered to, and act as interpreter and cultural guide for non-Indigenous clinical staff as necessary.

Receptionist – Social & Emotional Wellbeing Unit

Position Description

Overview
As the first point of contact for all clients of the Social & Emotional Wellbeing Unit (SEWB), the Receptionist will ensure professionalism and high level customer service is demonstrated at all times.

While the primary responsibility is to provide telephone switchboard services, the SEWB Receptionist is also required to assist other staff with a range of administrative functions.

Admin Level 2 - 3 $32,011.00 - $38,057.00
