Within the clinic, we operate our own pharmacy, from which the vast majority of medications are dispensed.

Responsibility for the management of the pharmacy rests with one of the clinical Aboriginal Health Workers, who ensures appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times. At present, this is done manually, but we are in the process of adopting a computerised inventory system, which will facilitate better inventory management, and label printing.

All medications are provided to clients free of charge. Most of these are Government funded (S-100), but we do allocate part of our funding to the acquisition of non S-100 medications which we believe are necessary to ensure quality of care.
