Wurli Council

As an Aboriginal community controlled organisation, we are governed by a council of people elected from the members of the Aboriginal living areas in and around Katherine.

Council members are elected for two year terms at our Annual General Meeting. Each living area, including Katherine itself, has at least one representative on the Council, and this ensures the community has a voice in managing the service.

Together, the Council makes all policy decisions and prioritises the organisation’s focus and activities, while receiving advice and information from, and giving direction to, the senior management group.
